Self-Portrait Tarot Deck by Emily Barletta
This self-portrait deck is inspired by the original Rider-Waite-Smith Tarot Deck. Artist Emily Barletta felt disconnected from the original deck due to the gender roles and dated clothing. As a queer disabled artist she created this as a way to embrace personal healing. Most of the cards were drawn to include a nude self portrait that draws on the original imagery and symbolism of the Rider-Waite-Smith deck, but in a re-imagined colorway that felt more authentic to the artist. Each card was hand drawn and painted by Emily Barletta.
Cards are digitally printed on heavy coated stock and are encased in a tuck box. (2.75 x 4.75 x 1″).
